Barb Cassidy

Barb Cassidy

Earlier this week, you traveled to Deadwood for business, but ended up staying for pleasure. You are a bandit by nature, a trade not taken on by many women of this time, but that is what makes you so successful at it. The authorities are rarely looking for a woman when they are seeking out perpetrators, which helps with your getaways by allowing you to go unnoticed as the guilty party. Earlier this week, you were hired by Banker Bonnie (Banker Bob’s wife) to stage a bank robbery in her husband’s bank. Although Banker Bonnie’s motives for staging the hold-up confused you, the pay was good and you got away with the crime without a problem. (Later, you only had to return half of the money to Bonnie in secret.) While you were in Deadwood, you ran into Jesse Wales (another outlaw). Intrigued as to why Jesse may be in town, you decided to stay and see what all the excitement was about. During your stay, Billy-The-Bartender (the saloon bartender) has caught your eye and you have vowed to make him your beau. During the time you have spent at the saloon trying to capture Billy’s attention, Billy has often been distracted. When you inquired as to what was on his mind, Billy confided in you that the saloon was in some financial trouble and that it was up to him to balance the books. While you believe Billy’s story, you also wonder if Billy’s heart may be somewhere else. You have seen Billy look longingly at Poker Alice (the poker dealer) and you wonder if Alice may be the object of Billy’s affection. You do not care for Poker Alice due to her past. A once well-known, deadly bandit (Assassin Alice), Poker Alice now pretends to be a law-abiding citizen. You find Alice’s newly-found, righteous attitude disingenuous and fake. Despite Alice’s holier-than-thou exterior, you know that she is as deadly as they come and you don’t like it! Despite your ongoing dislike of Poker Alice, you are excited to attend the Deadwood Poker Tournament Party. At the party, you hope to get the answers to some of your questions, reconnect with others, show Poker Alice that you are more of a woman than she is and drum up some bandit business if you can! By doing all this, you are certain that you can gain the attention and affection of Billy-The-Bartender!

Acting and Dressing Your Part:

As a bandit by nature, you are more tough and rugged than most women, but still dress with a feminine flare. Considering your trade, you may want to dress in cowboy boots, spurs, chaps, as well as bring gun(s), a holster and a bandana. Although you dress for the rough lifestyle you lead, you are still feminine at heart and love to wear bright red lipstick to accentuate this.
