Although most people know you as a rough and rugged outlaw, you were once a farmer. After a few years of leading a tiresome, farming life, you awoke with aspirations to become a bandit! At that point, you decided to take off in search of a more exciting life yourself - one that would reap fame and fortune! Along your travels, you hooked up with Harry High-Stakes about six years back. You met Harry at a saloon where you were partaking in the whiskey and he was partaking in the poker. Harry was a big gambling man back then, hence how he got his name. At the saloon, you lent Harry some money and he tripled your money for you that night. The two of you were instantly friends. After meeting Harry, you convinced him to leave his wife, Henrietta, in search of gold and fortune with you. In those days, going off in search of fortune often meant seeking out gold in the Black Hills. The two of you, however, knew just where to find gold—on the Wells Fargo stagecoaches. In the time that you and Harry were operating as partners, you became a successful duo robbing the stagecoaches that were transporting gold from the West back to the East. After robbing the stagecoaches, you would spend much of your earnings at the saloon while Harry would spend his at the poker tables. In the latter years of your partnership with Harry, you experienced some close calls where you barely escaped the law. At that point, Harry took off in the middle of the night, taking all of your joint winnings and leaving you with a note. In the note Harry explained that he was going to return to Deadwood to start a saloon and that he would return all of the money he took from you, plus interest, in one year’s time. Although you weren’t planning on collecting the money so soon, you have recently found yourself without an income due to a debilitating injury. A few weeks ago in a getaway attempt, your left hand was shot-up leaving you unable to handle a gun with your left hand. Since your left hand is your shooting hand, you have been left without any earnings for some time now. Because it has been slightly over a year since you and Harry split, you decided to come to Deadwood to collect the money owed to you by Harry and to visit a few old acquaintances. Since being in Deadwood this week, you alerted Harry that you desire to collect on your debt before leaving Deadwood. Harry assured you that if you stuck around until after the Poker Tournament Party, he would have the funds for you. Additionally while in town, you have seen both Poker Alice (the poker dealer) and Barb Cassidy (an outlaw). Although Poker Alice claims to be an upstanding citizen, you know her as “Assassin Alice”, a very deadly bandit who is wanted by the law. While at the saloon, you have noticed that Billy -The-Bartender (the bartender) fancies Poker Alice, and you plan to warn Billy against Alice. If Alice is half as deadly as her reputation claims, you believe pursuing a relationship with her could be very dangerous! To complicate matters, you have also witnessed Henrietta (Harry’s wife) sneaking off with Sheriff Sam (the sheriff ) and you are unsure of how to break that news to Harry.

As the Deadwood Poker Tournament Party approaches, you can’t wait to attend! Since the party is the only thing keeping you from getting your money from Harry, it can’t come soon enough. Once the party is over, you just want to get your money and get out of town!

Acting and Dressing Your Part:

An outlaw by nature, you hold a very rough and rugged exterior and dress accordingly. A cowboy hat, boots, spurs, holster, gun(s), and bandana are all things you may consider for your outfit. Although you don’t say much, you do enjoy intimidating people with your presence. Because your left hand was shot-up in a gunfight not too long ago, it is important that it is bandaged.
