As a U.S. Federal Marshal, your job is to enforce the law and to make sure that chaos does not break loose in newly founded territories. This week, you were sent to Deadwood to do your job. There is rumor Deadwood is run by a crooked sheriff, Sheriff Sam, and while you are here you intend check up on Sam and his questionable practices. In addition to checking up on Sam, you are also in Deadwood to make sure everything runs smoothly and that there is no unlawful activity at this week’s poker tournament and festivities. The poker tournament is an event with a lot of money at stake! Since you have been in Deadwood this week, you have observed Sheriff Sam conducting a very lax investigation into a bank robbery that happened earlier this week at the Bank of Deadwood. Sam’s laziness has angered Banker Bob, the bank owner whose money was stolen. Because of Bob’s anger, you fear that Banker Bob might decide to take matters into his own hands and bring the robber to justice himself. Regardless of your feelings for Sam, it is your job to observe and to try to run things to the best of your diplomatic nature. You are looking forward to coming to the Deadwood Poker Tournament Party to make sure that everything goes as planned and that the money gets awarded to the right person. Seeing the laziness that the sheriff exhibits when running an investigation has convinced you that you will need to take charge if anything happens at the tournament celebration party.
